How I Work With You, From First Conversation to Ceremony Day
I believe in making the planning of your ceremony as straightforward and stress free as possible. Here’s exactly what happens, so there are no unknowns.
The Process, Step by Step
One. You get in touch
Email or WhatsApp me. That’s it. I’ll come back to you and we’ll arrange an initial consultation, face to face if you’d like, or a video call if that’s easier.
Two. We meet properly
This is the enjoyable bit. I gather the essentials into a planning guide and talk you through a simple questionnaire designed so that no small detail slips through. Mostly, though, I listen.
Three. I go away and write
I produce a full draft of your ceremony and send it to you. Nothing is set in stone at this point, and nothing goes in that you haven’t seen.
Four. We shape it together
We’ll work in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s regular video calls, meetings, email or phone calls. Some people want three conversations, some want more. It’s all fine.
Five. The day itself
For funerals and celebrations of life I work with you and your chosen funeral director to deliver the ceremony. For weddings I coordinate with your other suppliers so everything runs smoothly and nobody has to chase anybody.
Six. Afterwards
You receive a beautiful copy of the ceremony to keep. And it’ll be my pleasure to stay in touch for whatever you’re celebrating next.
Ceremony and Vow Writing, On Its Own
Not everybody needs me to lead the ceremony. Some people simply need the words.
If you’re writing your own vows and staring at a blank page, or you have a ceremony to deliver yourself and want it properly crafted, I can write it for you. Same process, same listening, just without me standing at the front on the day.

Where I’ll Travel
I cover Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Cambridgeshire as standard, and both counties are wonderfully central if your family is scattered around the UK or flying in.
Funeral and celebration of life fees include expenses up to 25 miles. Beyond 25 miles, mileage is charged at 40p per mile. For destination weddings and UK ceremonies outside of my area, mileage is charged at 40p per mile and other travel and accommodation at cost, to be agreed with you up front.
And a Few Weeks a Year on Lake Garda
I also take a small number of destination weddings in Italy, working with my niece Emma of Just Juno Weddings, who is based on Lake Garda and has planned weddings in castles, private islands and lakeside villas.
Let’s Talk About What You’re Planning
The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
